The Big Smoke Family channel the funk of the Meters, the Gris-gris of Dr John, and the spirit of the Mardi Gras Indians to create 'Voodoo Funk'
Inspired by New Orleans and made in London, The Big Smoke Family have been filling dance floors across the UK and Europe since 2012.
Following in the footsteps of modern New Orleans funk bands such as Trombone Shorty, Galactic and Cha Wa, The Big Smoke Family fuse new and old traditions with memorable chants, driving horn lines and funky street-beats.

Having released two EP's and several singles The Big Smoke Family have garnered support from radio stations such as BBC 6, Jazz Fm, WWOZ and from New Orleans legends such as Johnny Vidakovic, George Porter Jr, Zigaboo, Donald Harrison Jr, Wendel Pierce, Galactic and many more.
The new album ' London to New Orleans' is due to be released in 2023
